More times than not we have the opportunity to collaborate on great projects. And some end up being absolutely amazing. An opportunity to be in the same stratosphere of others who are using their talents for a cause. An ad to run in the NY Times to help bring awareness to a great cause.
In this case, it is the cause of onedown.org. An attempt to raise one billion dollars to fight cancer. After only 14 months and over 7,000 donors, onedown.org recently passed the $442 million dollar mark and are well on the way to reaching their goal of raising $500 million. And thanks to a matching gift from Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife, Penny once the goal is reached that billion dollars will benefit OHSU's Knight Cancer Challenge.
