Photo shoots on lunar surfaces can be just a touch cost prohibitive, so building for the CR7 shoot here at Swanson Studio was a creative but necessary challenge, one thing we never turn down. Being able to work with Art Director Kevin Coatman for the first time was as enjoyable as creating moon dust and rock, a task made possible by the expert sourcing and styling skills of one of our favorite stylists, Michele Yurick. The scope of the concept included not only to show the shoe on the surface of the moon, but to also create the iconic footprint representing the historic first touchdown. It may not be NASA-approved, but it’s a shoe that is making its mark and performs at a level of its namesake athlete, Cristiano Ronaldo. Just like the Mercurial CR7, our team at Swanson is always looking to leave our mark.
