20/2 VOLUME THREE EXHIBITION RECAP

04 Feb 13

Wow what a night! Our opening of 20/2 Volume Three took place on Friday, February 1st from 6-9pm and we want to thank everyone who came out, it was a huge success: We had DJ K. Marie spinning, our 3 RED epic videos projecting on our new cove, 20 prints hanging beautifully throughout our newly renovated studio, the FLAVOUR Spot waffle cart cooking up the most delicious smelling storm and My Bartender kept the drinks flowing till well after the party stopped. Did anyone try the s’more waffle? So good!

This was our third year producing 20/2, and this year was our first rodeo using our RED Epic camera. Shooting slow motion, and having a variety of editing options in post really helped us put into visuals what our creative minds wanted your eyes to see! In a nutshell, this Exhibition is an opportunity to show the creative community truly who we are and where we are headed.

If you were unable to make the show you can view this year’s 20/2 images on our website, swansonstudio.us. The 3 RED Epic videos can be seen by clicking on the Motion link from our website.

On Thursday, March 7th we will be hosting a “First Thursday” 20/2 kick-off party in the large commons of PNCA. (1241 NW Johnson St) We will be showcasing the best of all 3 years of 20/2, the show will run until Friday, March 29th. Further details about the party will be available soon!

The motion booth had about 8 headphones that allowed people to experience all three videos that were shot on the RED EPIC this year for 20/2.

This year there was so much more space, but it definitely didn’t feel like it! It got so packed throughout the night that it was hard to walk anywhere without bumping into someone you knew.

Our studio renovation included construction of our “cove” that will make it easier to have a constant light source for shooting video. It’s not too shabby of a viewing space either.

This year we also printed stills taken from RED Epic footage. We made three “motion” spreads that were amongst the 17 still shoot prints.
